The Sunday Roast,
As It Should Be

There are few pleasures more deeply, distinctly British than a proper Sunday roast — and few pubs that do it quite like The Waggon & Horses. Choose from Lamb Shank, Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Roast Pork Belly or our Vegan Beetroot Wellington, all served with rainbow carrots, roast potatoes, parsnips, savoy cabbage, creamy leeks, Yorkshire pudding and gravy.

Our meats are slow-roasted to order. Our Yorkshire puddings are made fresh every Sunday morning. The vegetables are seasonal and sourced from the best local suppliers. And everything arrives at the table generous, hot and ready to be enjoyed with the people you love most.

The Details That Matter

Every Trimming, Thoughtfully Done

A great roast is as much about the supporting cast as the star of the show. Every element of our Sunday plate is prepared with the same attention and pride as the main event.

Yorkshire Pudding

Made fresh every Sunday morning — enormous, crispy-edged, with a proper hollow for the rich roasting gravy.

Roast Potatoes & Parsnips

Parboiled then roasted until deeply golden and shattering-crisp, served alongside honey-glazed parsnips.

Rainbow Carrots & Savoy Cabbage

Vibrant seasonal rainbow carrots roasted to tender perfection, paired with buttered savoy cabbage — never overcooked, always generous.

Creamy Leaks & Gravy

Silky creamed leaks alongside a rich, slow-cooked gravy made from the Sunday roasting juices — poured generously at the table.

Reserve Your
Sunday Table

Sunday tables at the Waggon fill quickly, particularly for larger groups and special occasions. We strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
